About Us:
Since 1837 The farm was bought in 1837 by George Mitchell and his wife. They had 9 children. His son, David Mitchell, inherited the land on Mitchell Road. The farm has been in the Mitchell family continuously for 176 years, which makes it more than a sesquicentennial farm.
Over the years the farm has been used for sheep herding, cattle farming, and milk and crop production. This year Farmer Mitchell planted corn and soybeans along with gourds and PUMPKINS and squash.
Farmer Glen Mitchell with his wife Candy run the farm today! They are very involved in the community and the Farm Bureau of Oakland County. Mitchell Farm offers a unique experience for visitors to see a working farm and have a great time in the Spring and the Fall!
