City programs such as public skating, skating lessons, and adult hockey are offered through the Minnetonka Ice Arena. The Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club, Hopkins and Minnetonka Youth Hockey Associations, and high school hockey programs from both Minnetonka and Hopkins School Districts use the Minnetonka Ice Arena for the operation of their programs. Approximately 260,000 people use the ice arena facilities on an annual basis. The ice arena is projected to utilize approximately 5,700 hours of ice time in 2015.
