About Us :

A grant from the Governor in 1973 helped to establish the first library in Millsboro. The Millsboro Public Library opened on December 6, 1973 in large part due to the efforts of Ethel Timmons of the Millsboro Women's Civic Club and Virginia Frazier who was a local teacher and continues to be a great supporter of libraries.

The library was originally located on Main Street in a small brick building. The building had previously functioned as a post office and a dress shop before becoming the library.

The current library building on State Street was completed in 1997 and opened its door to the townspeople of Millsboro on October 6, 1997. It is a 6,000 sq ft library building.
