Middlesex Canal Museum

71 Faulkner Street

The Middlesex Canal Museum – Visitor Center in Billerica, Massachusetts, was created to preserve and illuminate the history of the Middlesex Canal. Occupying a portion of the old Faulkner Mills on the Concord River Mill Pond that once led the Canal, the experience of the Museum is enriched by the historic ambiance of the building itself.

The exhibit area of the Museum is filled with maps, drawings, artifacts, and other fascinating reminders of an era and a technology that helped to shape the world we live in today. The Museum is a crucial component of a Heritage Park which will enhance and transform the Mill Pond area, and ultimately, the visible segments of the entire canal.

We who have come to love this canal and what it stands for, want to share it with everyone. We welcome you!
