About Us :

The Mexico Public Library attempts to offer a wide variety of books in all areas. In addition to the customary sections of Fiction, Nonfiction, Biography, and Reference, we also display shelves of new arrivals, Classics, Short Stories, and a collection of books pertaining to Maine.

Downstairs, we have a growing collection of Children's and Young Adult books. picture books, fiction, nonfiction, and biographies.

We also try to acquire award winning books such As Newbery Award, Caldecott Award, and Maine Student Book Award books for children and young adults. The Library has a growing collection of videos, DVDs, and audio books, available for sign-out to patrons. Also, we have periodicals available for sign-out.

We have internet accessible computers for public use. These computers also have electronic encyclopedias, atlases, and several learning games for children. Each computer also has an electronic card catalog available to patrons. This enables our patrons to search the catalog by title, author, and subject to see for themselves what is available here in our Library. We are completely automated in our circulation and card catalog. Students in SAD #43 are allowed to print up to 6 pages of material relating to school research projects, free of charge
