Memphis' first dog park, located near the Memphis City Schools Board of Education on Avery opened June 5, 2010.

The "off leash" fenced in park has designated space for dogs under 25 lbs. and 25 lbs. and over. To be ecofriendly, bio degradable doggie waste bags are provided so that owners can help keep the park clean and free of pet waste .The park has benches for owners to relax and watch the dogs play. So that dogs have a safe and fun environment to play in, all dogs must be licensed and vaccinated/immunized and each dog owner is responsible for the behavior and action of their dog.

Hours of operation for the park are 6:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. March 15 October 31st and 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. November 15 March 14.
