Medical Center of the Rockies

Medical Center of the Rockies is a 166-bed regional medical center in Loveland, Colo. with a full spectrum of services and specializing in heart and trauma care.

Surgical services include general surgery, cardiothoracic, orthopedic trauma and neurological trauma. Robotic-assisted surgery also plays a prominent role in patient care. MCR also includes an acute dialysis unit.

MCR has two intensive care units, a birthing center and a special care nursery, a medical nursing unit, a surgical nursing unit, an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit and full-service radiology and laboratory departments. The hospital also is home to Air Link, which is University of Colorado Health's emergency medical, critical care air transportation program.

The hospital earned the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet designation in 2010. The Magnet Recognition Program recognizes excellence in nursing services and is considered the gold standard for nursing practice

MCR is a partnership between University of Colorado Health (formerly Poudre Valley Health System) and Regional West Health Services of Scottsbluff, Neb.

MCR, which opened in February 2007, has won the Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer award from Avatar International based on its patient satisfaction scores.
