Mission

McGroarty Arts Center provides access to the arts through in-depth arts instruction and experiences.  Affordable or free multidisciplinary arts instruction is offered to at-risk youth, children, and families, as are performances, exhibitions, and events that engage the greater public. The Center is a venue for artists to present their work, while preserving the legacy of John Steven McGroarty and his historic home.

Vision

McGroarty Arts Center will strive to make arts education accessible to every individual and family in the Foothill communities. The Center will be widely recognized for having the best staff and the most complete course offerings.  Over the next three years, the Center will expand services, improve facilities, and initiate new outreach campaigns, growing to serve 4,000 students annually with quality, affordable instruction. Outreach will focus on low-income and ethnically diverse groups in the community, as well as older adults who lack transportation. The Center will continue to develop its nurturing atmosphere, maintaining the one-on-one attention that beginning, intermediate, and advanced students have come to expect from instructors and staff.
