McDonald Golf Course

About Us:

McDonald is a 9 hole Municipal Golf Course in the great City of Evansville.  As one of three Municipal regulation golf courses in the City, McDonald is the longest 9 holes out of all the courses so don't expect that this course is only for beginners.  It always sports some of the best greens year to year.  In 2011 we bit the bullet and had the fairways redone in Bermuda Grass to keep the fairways in proper shape for the Summer months.  2012 was the first full year with the new fairways and it turned out to be a great investment for the course as the grass completely has taken over the fairways for a great golfing experience.

We also had several of the teeboxes covered in zoysia grass last year as well.  This is a great improvement for our par 3 holes.  Holes 1, 7, 8, and 9 were done.  The other teeboxes are usually in good shape year to year as they are already mainly zoysia grass.

My name is Mike Wassmer and I have run McDonald since 2001.  I have  been a proud member of the P.G.A. of America since 1999.   I welcome you to come and experience our fine course and look forward to helping you in your golfing experience.
