Maywood

Maywood offers hiking/skiing trails that connect with trails in neighboring Evergreen and Jaycee Quarry Parks. The park sits along the Pigeon River and also features spring-fed ponds, wetland area, a maple forest, pine forest, prairie, Arboretum, butterfly and hummingbird garden, rain garden, and wildlife viewing areas. The park is a known "hot spot" for birding and bird walks are offered in spring and fall. School tours and public programs are offered year-round. Day-camps for children age 7-13 are offered in summer. There is no fee or sticker required to use the park and trails. There is a nominal fee for some programs.
