May Festival

1241 Elm Street
Cincinnati, OH 45202

513-621-1919

The May Festival is produced by the Cincinnati Musical Festival Association, a not-for-profit corporation, and managed by the staff of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.  By the consolidation of resources and expertise, this cooperative management and artistic effort benefits both organizations.

The May Festival is the oldest continuous choral festival in the Western Hemisphere and one of the only true festivals that remain in our country today.  Featuring the May Festival Chorus and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Festival presents marvelously concentrated choral repertoire rarely found in the usual concert season. Many music festivals are largely repetitions of the standard repertoire from the subscription season. Nothing about the Cincinnati May Festival is routine - musically, socially or personally.
