Matagorda Regional Medical Center
History:
The Matagorda County Hospital District was established in 1965 by an act of the Texas Legislature to serve the health care needs of all the residents of Matagorda County. The Hospital District consists of: Matagorda Regional Medical Center, the Public Health Clinic, and the WIC Clinic. A seven-member Board of Managers is appointed by the Commissioners’ Court to govern and assist in the management of all facility.
