About Us:

The Mark Sylvestre Planetarium in Boyd Science Center provides a window on the universe. With programs presented by NASA Solar System Ambassador Sally Jean Jensen and Planetarium Director Dennis Machnik, the planetarium is a resource for the entire community.

The 31-seat facility offers:
- Programs for astronomy enthusiasts, adults and children
- Accessible seating for visitors with disabilities
- Starlab Sky Projector
- LCD projector with VHS, DVD, and Internet connections
- Portable planetarium for off-site presentations at schools and other organizations (made possible by a gift from Verizon)
