Magnolia Hall

215 North Pearl Street
Natchez, MS 39120

Magnolia Hall exemplifies the height of the Greek Revival style in Natchez. The house features an imposing portico with large Ionic columns. The brick house was stuccoed and scored to imitate the brownstone style then-current in the Northeast. Inside, the main part of the house has six rooms on the lower and upper floors. And the name of the house naturally comes from the plaster ceiling medallions of magnolia blossoms and leaves.

Upstairs, you, too, can become a Southern belle for the day. Try on a hoop skirt, and see the fabulous gowns and costumes worn by Historic Natchez Tableaux Queens and the court. Mannequins portraying antebellum-period life are set in three rooms. Photos of former presidents of the Natchez Garden Club as well as its royalty are featured on the hallway walls, and vintage dolls are in a case. The Natchez Costume and Doll Museum is included in your house tour admission.
