Welcome to MacDowell Brew Kitchen, where laid-back fun is an everyday experience and no one is a stranger.

Lots of people ask where we came up with the idea. You might say it was born of beer-fueled nights between co-owners Gordon MacDowell and Nils Schnibbe, but that would be giving them too much credit. Okay, it's true, Gordon is a genius (we're not exaggerating a bit) at kitchen design and remodeling, and he really always wanted his own beach bar. And Nils is a ridiculously talented restaurateur who just happened to be driving a school bus at the time. We still haven't figured out how they actually met and realized they shared a passion. We suspect beer might have been involved.
