Since its debut in 1998, the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York has presented chamber music and cutting-edge repertoire in an intimate salon setting---as it was intended to be heard. With 8-10 public concerts each season, we cater to music lovers and students in the tri-state area. 

The unique Lyric experience offers up close exposure to rising stars, as well as Concert Masters and Principal Players from leading orchestras, interpreting masterpieces of chamber music. The Lyric’s programming combines classic chamber music works, rarely performed compositions, and innovative contemporary pieces.

The Lyric discovers, nurtures and introduces up-coming talent from around the world, giving an opportunity to perform with eminent musicians for a New York audience, be reviewed by the national press, and to be broadcast on radio stations across the country. 

To help ensure tomorrow’s audience for classical music, The Lyric is actively involved in creating music education and community engagement programs in the New York metro area. We are committed to broaden this initiative by sending artists to schools in towns often bypassed by classical groups. We will be expanding this endeavor to 10 other states.
