The general objectives of the Lydia Bruun Woods Memorial Library of Falls City are:
To assemble, preserve and administer a comprehensive collection of books and related educational and recreational material in order to provide, through guidance and stimulation, the communication of ideas and enlightened citizenship and enriched personal lives.
To increase the use and growth of the Library in order to offer leadership in the development of the community.
To operate as an integral part of the Nebraska Library System.
To provide opportunity and encouragement for children, young people and adults to educate themselves continuously.
To maintain a staff which is adequate to the needs of the patrons.
To increase the use of the Library by organizing such activities as Story Hours, Reading Programs, and give special attention to the patrons who do not have access to the Library.
