Long Lake State Recreation Area

Long Lake State Recreation Area is made up of 30 acres of rolling sandhills and a 50-acre natural sandhill lake. The area offers fishing, camping, picnicking and hunting access.

Attractions

Fishing

Long Lake offers fishing opportunities in both the summer and the winter months. Bullhead and northern pike are the primary fish species caught.

Boating

All boats are welcome on Long Lake, but there is a 5 mph speed limit. There are no docks or ramps.

Hunting

Long Lake is a good waterfowl hunting spot, with abundant shoreline vegetation that doubles as a natural blind. Grouse can be found on the area, as well.

Picnicking

The area has three picnic tables.
