About Us:
Welcome to Long Hill Orchard & Farm, our family-owned 150 acre orchard and farm. Long Hill Orchard was established in 1896. The Adams Family, John, Cindy, and their children, Ashley, Brittany and John have owned and lived on the farm for a quarter century. Our love and appreciation of farming keeps us active and involved daily in the fields, orchards, and farm stand. We have a friendly and casual atmosphere here at Long Hill and we invite you to "Come Grow With US".
At Long Hill, we pride ourselves on our quality environmentally friendly and sustainable farming practices providing access to healthy, affordable, freshly harvested, locally grown fruits and vegetables in our small town community. Our acres of orchards and fields offer Pick-Your-Own (PYO) apples as well as our ever popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Although Long Hill is not organic certified, we do follow the Northeast Organic Farmers Associations guides to environmentally sustainable practices.
Our Farm Stand provides access to this fresh produce as well as apple cider, cider donuts, baked goods, and various other sundries and is open June through December. Our Ice Cream Stand is open April through October.
Our property offers many other wonderful opportunities. Come for a visit and enjoy what Long Hill has to offer. Enjoy the quiet surroundings and magnificent sights, including panoramic views of the Merrimac River while strolling along on one of our hiking trails. You may even spot one of the many creatures that populate the orchard and fields, such as deer, red foxes, pheasants, blue herrings, eagles, rabbits or woodchucks. Bring your lunch and eat amongst these creatures at one of our picnic tables surrounded by all this natural beauty. Bring along your own companion, as dogs are welcome!
Our facilities are available for birthday parties, weddings, business meetings and other social functions. We also offer educational tours for school children as well as guided tours for groups. For a fun outing with the kids, come visit our "little petting zoo." Feed vegetable scraps provided by the farm to our goats, chickens and bunny.
