Log Cabin Pines

Our family business began in 1980, with the planting of 3000 Pine seedlings. Although these first trees did not do well, the following year we were successful, planting 2000 White Pine Christmas trees. We continued to plant 1500 to 2000 transplants each year of Scotch, White and Ponderosa Pine. This increased our selection for our "Cut-Your-Own" business. Finally, in 1988 we opened up our Choose and Cut Christmas Tree farm, "Log Cabin Pines" and sold a whopping 16 cut your own Christmas Trees. The business has progressed well from there, including the opening of "Heart of Country" store in 1990, which sells Christmas Crafts. We have also added Balsam, Canaan and Fraser Fir to our plantings each year.
