The La Vergne Public Library is one of the cultural centers of the La Vergne community. With a variety of activities for all ages, the library boasts more than 63,300 items and 27,100 card-carrying patrons.

The library offers interactive story times for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children (the schedules can be picked up in the library or viewed on-line) which include stories, music and other activities. They also offer adult programs including a book reading group and educational seminars.

The library offers a variety of books on quite a few subjects and offers fiction, non-fiction and juvenile books, audio books on CD and cassette, magazines, videos compact disks and DVD's for the public to check out.

In addition, the following is also offered to the public: a fax machine for sending and receiving, laminating machines, die cutting machines, computers for Internet and word processing, computer software, and a variety of home school materials.
