The Las Vegas International Chess Festival is an annual chess event held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The festival includes the National Open, which is one of America's longest running, premier Open tournaments. First established by Ed Edmondson in 1965, Fred Gruenberg and Alan Losoff have organized the National Open for over 25 years, and have built its well-deserved reputation as The Chess Vacation of the Year. The festival also includes the US Game/10 Championship, US Women's Open, simuls by Grandmasters, Youth International and Scholastic Trophy events and much, much more.
