Mission Statement:
The Las Cruces Museum of Art strives to engage and inspire its diverse audience through contemporary art exhibitions, public programming, and educational activities.
The Museum of Art began hosting exhibitions in the year 2000. Featuring contemporary art in over 4000 sq. ft. of gallery space, displays change several times a year and include national, international, juried, traveling, and invitational exhibits. The exhibitions are complemented by educational programming that includes lectures, musical performances, demonstrations, and guided tours. With professional art instructors, the thriving studio arts program serves students of all ages and is a point of departure for the study of topics such as ceramics, drawing, painting, digital photography, weaving, and mixed-media studies.
