Lancaster Country Club Golf Course

US 63 and Golfers Lane
Lancaster, MO 63548

A plaque at the first tee reminds us that our course was designed by William S. Flynn. Along with the likes of A.W. Tillinghast and Donald Ross, Flynn is considered to be one of the most significant and influential designers of the "Golden Age" of golf course architecture. Flynn said:

"The principal consideration of the architect is to design his course in such a way as to hold the interest of the player from the first tee to the last green and to present the problems of various holes in such a way that they register in the player's mind as he stands on the tee or on the fairway for the shot to the green."

The Flynn course at Lancaster Country Club requires a balance of long and short hole skills as well as strategic play and rewards accuracy as well as creativity. Lancaster Country Club presents a strategic challenge to the skilled professional yet remains playable for the average golfer.
