Lamond Recreation Center

20 Tuckerman Street, NE
Washington, DC 20011

As a part of AARP's 60th Anniversary, AARP launched an ambitious effort in 2019 to create 53 fitness parks – one each in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These AARP Sponsored Outdoor Fitness Parks Organized by FitLot are designed for adaptive use by people with a wide range of abilities and exercise needs.

The Lamond Recreation Center is a full-service facility that serves participants from toddlers to seniors.  The building is equipped with athletics, personal enrichment, summer camps, and senior programming programs. DPR staff, programmatic partners, as well as certified volunteers, facilitate programs and services.  The recreation center also provides participants of all ages with an opportunity to permit spaces and the multipurpose field.
