Lake Area Medical Center is an 88-bed, full-service acute care hospital that offers compassionate, quality healthcare for the entire family. Proudly serving residents of Southwest Louisiana since 1984, the hospital is the area's preferred leader for women's services and offers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and medical and surgical care. Lake Area Medical Center is an Accredited Bariatric Surgery Center and operates a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We have over 500 dedicated staff members and nearly 200 affiliated physicians, covering a range of 36 medical specialties, who are committed to keeping you and your family healthy.
