Kwanzaa in August Festival

Kwanzaa in August (K.I.A.) is an initiative that kicks off August 3-5, 2018 during the K.I.A. Fest which will take place east of the river in Washington, D.C. at the Anacostia Arts Center.  The festival will feature music, workshops, and feature presentations that promote the ideals of the seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba. The seven principles of Unity, Self-Determination Collective Work & Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity and Faith are inherent in the programming that takes place during this initiative that encourages community involvement.

Kwanzaa in August is presented by Liberated Muse Arts Group and began as a commemoration of Liberated Muse's 10th anniversary as a collective of artists presenting quality multi-disciplinary cultural arts programming.
