Konarcik Park

Konarcik Park is located off Konarcik Road (Fourth Street) east of Waterloo and is comprised of about 60 acres of open and forested land as well as one lake. The park has a short walking trail, a ball field, two sand volleyball courts and modern playground equipment. There is also an enclosed playground for smaller children and a lake for fishing. A fishing license is required at the park.

Six covered pavilions are available for group picnic use. The pavilions have running water and electricity and barbecue pits nearby. These pavilions can be reserved for a nominal fee by calling Ruth Sondag at 939-7835 or sending the Pavilion Reservation Form to Ruth Sondag, P.O. Box 141, Waterloo, IL 62298.

Rates are $35.00 for city residents, $110.00 for non-residents, and $150.00 for weddings for city residents and $250.00 for weddings for non-residents. Uncovered picnic sites are also available.

The park is for day use only and has no overnight camping.
