Branch History
Set against the backdrop of a vibrant multi-ethnic community in the Northwest Bronx, the Kingsbridge Branch of The New York Public Library has been an integral part of its neighborhood since 1905. Originally located on Kingsbridge Avenue, the branch has since shifted to its current home on West 231st Street. Today the library features two floors with large collections for adults, young adults, and children. There is also an extensive reference collection which includes periodicals, newspapers, and electronic resources
