The King George YMCA is a branch of the Rappahannock Area YMCA.

The King George Y opened in 2008 with a full facility:  Gymnasium, pool, wellness/fitness center, aerobics/group fitness, spinning, youth classrooms, kidz zone area, playground/pavilion, and locker rooms.  With state-of-the-art equipment and a knowledgeable, friendly staff, the King George Y can help you reach your fitness goals and provide fun programs and activities for the whole family. Come visit us!

Each day at the YMCA we have the opportunity to impact others.  Each of us, staff, volunteers, and members alike can make a difference in our own life or someone else's.  By choosing to be a member of the Y, we are put in a position to make a difference.

A great example of individuals choosing to make a difference can be found in our aquatics center each winter: dedicated volunteers stepping up to coach Special Olympics, setting an example of servant leadership and dedication.

It is also here that we find examples of the YMCA's committment to being Open to All.  All races, religions, economic and social backgrounds are welcome at the Y.  As part of a team, our children develop friendships founded in fun and respect, while learning new skills and being active.

Here at the Y we are strengthening the foundations of our community every day. How? By connecting people through programs and services that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We believe that a strong community begins with strong relationships and we hope that you will join us.
