Kent County Public Library opened in August 1999 at 2319 South DuPont Highway on the northbound lane of Route 13 just north of the Camden light. It recently relocated to 497 South Red Haven Lane, Dover, DE 19901 just north of the Woodside light.

The library features a growing collection of fiction and non-fiction books, movies, and audiobooks. Enjoy reading newspapers and magazines; additional access to 2,500 periodicals and newspapers is also available online.  We maintain eightteen Internet accessible computers, all offering word processing and accounting software, plus a number of other programs. We also offer wireless internet.

A variety of programs are offered throughout the year addressing the needs and interests of adults, teens, and children.

The Kent County Public Library also operates a bookmobile that visits Hartly, Cheswold, Felton, Frederica, and a number of other locations weekly.

The Kent County Public Library is part of the Kent County Department of Community Services.
