About Us:

KemperSports was founded nearly 35 years ago by James Kemper, Jr. and Steven H. Lesnik.  One of the company’s first projects was the development of Kemper Lakes Golf Course on the campus of Kemper Insurance in Long Grove, IL. Kemper Lakes received national acclaim as the host of the 1989 PGA Championship, the first public access course to do so in history.

From that successful beginning, our company steadily grew to become the most trusted name in golf by developing an award-winning portfolio that includes nationally-ranked courses and tournament venues. Today, we continue to develop and manage a broad range of private clubs, golf resorts, public golf courses and municipal golf courses, and we have expanded our management expertise to include conference centers, lodging operations and recreational facilities.

Creating superior customer experiences and driving peak performance for our clients is our mission, and we are proud of the success we've achieved for a wide range of clients which include public agencies, investors, real-estate developers and private owners. We achieve this success by employing the best people in the industry to provide our clients with operational excellence and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Throughout our more than three decades in business, we've stayed true to our core values of tradition, honor and integrity.

KemperSports continues to be a family-owned business with over 5,500 employees. We're based in Northbrook, Illinois and operate regional offices in Northern California, Southern California, Dallas, South Florida and Maryland which allow us to offer excellent, responsive service to our clients nationwide.

We invite you to get to know more about our company by taking a moment to browse our website and read about our recent news and our awards and accolades, or better yet visit one of our properties and meet our people.
