Welcome to Jester Park Golf Course:
The Jester Park Golf Course is open to the public! The course opened for play on July 4, 1971, under Polk County Conservation Board management. Jester Park has always been and will continue to be one of the finest and most well-maintained public golf courses in Iowa . It is enjoyed by the beginner to the most avid golfers. With four sets of tees on each hole, golfers can play to their ability without feeling over-matched on our regulation 18-Hole Championship Golf Course.
The course is located just 30 minutes north of downtown Des Moines, contiguous to Jester Park . Enjoy the peaceful and beautiful countryside and occasional glimpse of wildlife during your round. You'll find that our multiple sets of tees, generous fairways, medium length rough, hazards, and gently rolling greens will keep you challenged for 18 holes.
If you are just learning to play or want to work on your short game, then our 9-hole Par 3 Golf Course will be a perfect alternative to our 18-hole course. Well-manicured tee areas and closely mowed fairways and greens on the Par 3 give golfers the 'big course' feel.
