Japan Festival Houston is an annual celebration of Japanese culture held in Houston's Hermann Park. Enjoy the rich cultural heritage of Japan with traditional and contemporary performances of Japanese music, dance and martial arts, Japanese/Japanese-inspired food, as well as demonstrations and displays of Ikebana flower arrangement, tea ceremony, origami, bonsai and more.

Our mission is to provide a quality family event that fosters appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of Japan and contributes to the rich international profile of Houston and its diverse cultural communities.

The Japanese Festival of Houston, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that sponsors the annual Japan Festival Houston to educate and promote the rich cultural heritage of Japan that is preserved by the Japanese and Japan-American communities by demonstrating and exhibiting Japanese customs and traditions. The Festival also serves to cultivate the alliance between Japan and the United States.

One of the most attended events of its type across the entire United States, the Japan Festival brings about a reaffirmation of a commitment to Japanese and Japanese-American traditions, both old and new.
