Dye Designs & Jan Stephenson

Perry O. Dye Designs has established a world wide reputation for unique, environmentally sensitive, ecological, championship, resort and public golf courses. Dye Designs believes that Dye courses can produce better golfers, while providing local employment and valued recreation for all those who play them.

The Dye family is considered by many to be "America's First Family of Golf." The Dyes' contributions have become an integral part of the history and tradition of golf course design and construction. All members of the Dye family have contributed their unique talents and knowledge to the improvement of the game. Pete, Alice and their sons Perry and P.B. have placed the "Dye" name on over 200 courses around the world. For generations, the Dye family has had a deep respect for the traditions of the game of golf. The blending of tradition with innovation in design has been noteworthy in their award winning golf projects.

Jan Stephenson was the "It Girl" of professional golf in the 1980s, one of the first LPGA stars to openly embrace and champion a sex-sells approach to marketing. But the focus on her blonde-pinup looks sometimes overshadowed what was a very good golf game.

Jan has 16 LPGA Tour Victories and 3 Majors to her credit. She was the LPGA's Rookie of the Year in 1974 and in 2003, became the first woman to play on the Champions Tour, missing the cut.

Stephenson is among the few women in the course design business, and one of the most successful. She has even produced an exercise video for people with arthritis. Her many charitable efforts include being an honorary chairman of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
