The Huntsville Memorial Hospital Medical Clinic was established in 1992 to meet the primary health care needs of the residents of Walker County. It is an ambulatory acute care clinic that provides care for patients of all ages. Services include pediatric care, adolescent medicine and adult medicine.
The HMH Medical Clinic was planned in compliance with the federal Rural Health Clinic Services Act. This act finances the expansion of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement programs for health care service providers in rural areas like Walker County.
Licensed and certified M.D.s, Physician's Assistants and Nurse Practitioners provide services to the clinic, with assistance from nursing and office staff. Medical Director, Melissa Tuck-White, M.D., supervises all clinic activities. The services provided at the HMH Medical Clinic are similar to those that are typically offered in a primary care physician’s office.
