Huntington Woods Senior Center

The Senior Department of the Community Center strives to anticipate, identify, and meet the needs of older adults. Our goal is to promote lifelong learning and independence and to encourage continued participation in the community in  order to enhance the quality of life for seniors.

Elin Becker is the Senior Program Coordinator in charge of classes, trips, special events, and other activities that might appeal to seniors.

Margaret Tripp, MSW, is our Senior Outreach Coordinator who develops programs to enrich the lives of senior residents and help them remain in their homes for as long as they are able. These services include weekly lunch and a speaker, an annual Health Fair, monthly blood pressure clinic, intergenerational programs, wellness projects, transportation, telephone reassurance and home visits, volunteer opportunities, information and referral to community agencies, and counseling.
