Our Mission & Vision

The mission of the Hubbard County Historical Museum is to provide an historical setting to educate the public and display our county’s heritage through generous donations from the community and its residents, past and present.

This beautiful Victorian building was originally built as a courthouse in 1900. When the new courthouse was constructed in the mid-1970s, Hubbard County Historical Museum moved from a small log cabin into this building. After a little remodeling, Museum doors opened in 1978.

The interior remains much the same as it did 100 years ago. The walls have been repainted the original rich green color and the tin ceiling is intact. The Museum has a total of 8 vaults, four on the main level and four on the lower level. Names of the original courthouse offices remain on the doors.
