Hood River U-Pick Organic

About Us:

Hood River U-Pick Organic is a family farm established in 2008. We bought our property with 40 year old cherry trees growing on it. I thought they were so beautiful. I kept a bunch and needed a way to make enough money to maintain the trees. My Grandpa had a very large U-Pick Strawberry farm near Detroit, Michigan. I thought, well, if he could do it, so can I. That was the beginning of our farm.

Each year we add a few more cherry trees. - It takes about 10 years for a tree to produce at full production. We loved our U-Pick customers so much that we planted Honey crisp and Gala Apples 10 years ago for our Fall crop.

Our organic u pick farm is a fun place to have an adventure. We have a cute petting zoo with goats and pigs, hopefully, piglets at cherry season. The kids are welcome to pet and play with the animals. You can always bring a picnic lunch and use one of the picnic tables scattered throughout the orchard. It's a fun day.

We are certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Farming is a passion and joy and a way we can give back to our Earth and community with natural beauty, adventure, and healthy fruit.
