Hood River Skate Park and Disc Golf

A first class Skate Park and BMX Track:
In 1996, working in cooperation with the City, the Hood River Rotary, other civic groups, and strong volunteer groups, the District opened the first phase of a skate park at the City’s Jaymar Park , which is now called the Rotary Skate Park.  Volunteers remain key as we continue to evolve the Skate Park to a permanent, low maintenance facility. The skate park has expanded to include a BMX track, permanent restrooms, and playground area.
 
To date, the Park District has made over 600,000 dollars in improvements to the skate park. A large portion of the funding came from grants, including Oregon's Local Government Grants/ Lottery Dollars.
 
Disc Golf Course:
A nine hole disc golf course begins on the corner of 20th street and Wasco. It is a challenging course through trees and other terrain.
