The mission of the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County is to collect, preserve, interpret, and share the history and culture of Clay County, Minnesota.
HCSCC is located at the City of Moorhead’s Hjemkomst Center. The organization manages the museum at the Center and provides interpretation of the Hjemkomst Viking Ship and the Hopperstad Stave Church replica**.
In 2009 the Clay County Historical Society and the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Cener merged to form the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County.
