About Us
When the Fayette County Historical Society started the theatre project in late 1992, they were somewhat apprehensive as they had never taken on a project of this magnitude. Without any visible means of financing they were unsure where the necessary funding for the restoration would come from. However, through the generosity of the owner of the building, Mr. Tom Louisos, they were able to complete many of the major projects, such as installing a new ceiling, new heating & cooling system and a new plumbing and electrical system.
Over the past 14 years the Theatre Committee has continued making additional improvements to the building, such as adding an enclosed dressing room to the back, revamping the lobby, getting better seats, adding a tech booth with more advanced equipment, lighting, etc.
