About Us

Highland is special to all of us who experience the place, the people, and the mission. The school was founded, and continues to operate, on the sanctity of the learning process. We aspire to find new ways to make the educational experience active, relevant, and meaningful to our students. Highland seeks faculty and staff who are student centered, energetic and interested in developing their professional skills. Highland School seeks students and families who are ready to commit to a challenging and rewarding education, the benefits of which will last a lifetime.

The mission of Highland School is to provide a demanding academic program to develop the skills and character essential for students to meet the challenges of college and leadership in the twenty-first century.

To carry out this mission, Highland School has assembled thoroughly modern facilities, a large, diverse, and highly qualified staff, a student body ready to meet the challenges, and an academic philosophy and strategy that makes maximum use of these resources.

Although non-denominational, Highland School exemplifies a philosophy rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition. Highland promotes ethnic, cultural and racial diversity throughout the school community and embraces high ethical principles, strong academic standards and the idea of personal responsibility.
