the Herman Brown Free Library is managed by library director Cookie Wallace, who is responsible for the daily operations of the library facility in Burnet. She plans community programs and local library events. She selects for purchase library materials for the library, and she evaluates gifts and donations for inclusion into the collections. She is the liaison to the Friends of the Herman Brown Free Library, the local school district, and she represents the Library System to the City of Burnet. The services of the Herman Brown Free Library are: - Open to the public for 40 hours per week; - General circulation of library materials; - General reference and Information assistance; - Public computer assistance; - Genealogy and Texas History assistance; - And a meeting room for public meetings and community events.
