In 1938 Alexander Heimlich, Sr started in the horticultural business by growing and selling cut flowers and flowering bulbs from his nursery in Woburn. He later started growing perennials and participating in the New England Spring Flower Show, one of the largest flower shows in the world.

In 1985 Alexander Heimlich's son, Sandy (Alexander, Jr), took over Heimlich's Nurseries. Along with his two children, Cheryl Heimlich and Jeff Heimlich, they have been working together and managing the day to day operations at Heimlich's Nurseries ever since. Heimich's Nurseries is well known for their participation in the Boston Flower Show are flower show exhibitors since 1838.

Heimlich's Nurseries is a familly owned and operated business, now on the third generation. As a local garden center and greenhouse business the focus is on high quality plant material and exceptional customer service.

We provide our customers with our local horticultural knowledge and design experience to help make their homes and businesses more appealing.
