Hector Wine Company -located on the east side of Seneca Lake -is owned and operated by local viticulturist, Jason Hazlitt and winemaker, Justin Boyette. The winery is positioned across the road from Sawmill Creek Vineyards, where Jason's family has a long history of growing exceptional Vinifera in the Finger Lakes. Hector Wine Company's tasting room opened in 2010 with the release of the 2009 vintage.

In the cellar we are precise and focused but not overly manipulative. We do native fermentations for most of our reds, little to no filtering and no fining so as to make wines that express varietal character and the terroir at Sawmill. We look to make wines that are elegant and fresh; wines that have complexity and structure but are also enjoyable to drink.Â
