About Us:
In keeping with the farming history of Carroll County and Hampstead, Maryland (formerly known as Spring Garden), the Hampstead Farmer's Market began on June 12, 2010, in an effort to remind our now-bedroom community of its farming roots. Beginning the second Saturday in June and continuing each Saturday through September, local farmers and residents, in partnership with the Town of Hampstead and the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Department, bring the best of nature's bounty to the community.
Residents are now able to shop for high-quality, fresh farm produce, breads, jams and jellies, meats, poultry, free-range eggs, baked goods, salsas, pickles, goat's milk soap, emu body lotions, annuals, perennials, snack mixes, and much, much more in one convenient location. Easy, free parking is located on the HVFD lot, and handicapped parking is also available right on the market grounds.
The Hampstead Farmer's Market benefits the farmers and vendors who sell their products, as well as the customers who buy their products. The market has become a weekly meeting place for friends and neighbors to gather and enjoy spending time with each other in a welcoming and fun atmosphere
