Open: Year Round
About HALL Winery:
HALL Winery, an historic Napa Valley winery originally founded in 1885, was long known as the Napa Valley Co-op and served as one of the primary winemaking facilities in Napa for much of the last century.
Today, as HALL, a redesigned visitor center and tasting room welcome visitors with warmth and elegance. Guests to the winery can sample the portfolio of HALL wines, relax in arbor-covered courtyards, and take in the original works of modern art and sculptures from the Halls' personal collection. The winery is located just south of the town of St. Helena on Route 29 and is open daily for public visits, tastings and tours.Â
Our production tour and barrel tasting gives you a first hand look into the life of a wine, from barrel to bottle. The tour begins in the HALL estate vineyards, then onto the crush pad to see the harvest in action where fruit is processed, sorted and "crushed." The highlight of the tour is a stop to see our new optical scanner, a high-tech sorting system that digitally scans and selects just the right grapes for fermentation. Next, a rarely experienced barrel tasting from a neutral Oak and new Oak barrel; a comparison oak influence. Finally, a wine educator hosts a cheese and wine pairing of current HALL wines.
