Mission :

The mission of the Haines Borough Public Library is to be responsive to community needs by assembling, preserving, and providing access to materials and information. Therefore the Library will offer an environment conducive to providing programs, sharing information, and stimulating ideas.

About Us :

In 1989 the Haines Borough Public Library, Haines Elementary Media Center, Haines High School Library and the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center formed a partnership to improve library services throughout the Borough. By sharing resources and working together to build collections, increasing access to information through the use of technology and planning joint programs we are able to provide library services in a more cost-effective manner.
