Hagaman Memorial Library serves the 29,000 residents of East Haven.  The Library was incorporated in 1921, its original building was built in 1928, with a new wing addition built in 1975.  The Library owns 70,000 items and is open 51 hours per week, Monday - Saturday.  In FY 2012 (July 01, 2012-June 30, 2013), the Library had 9,495 active library card users, circulated 124,233 items, had 413 programs with 7,892 people attending,  and had 18,457 sessions on its public access computers.  Also, the Library provides has public Wi-Fi photocopiers, faxing, and meeting rooms (reservation required).  The Library's Web site is www.hagamanlibrary.info.
